As a security guard, you will have many responsibilities. The responsibilities that you have will depend on where you work. You can find a job as a security guard at hospitals, factories, and retail stores.
When you work in a hospital as a security guard, you are usually in charge of escorting people out of the hospital if they are causing a scene or if they have been drinking. You might have to drive a vehicle around the perimeter of the hospital and look for anyone who may be loitering in the parking lot or who may need help of some kind. There is usually one location that you will sit at while you are on duty until you are needed in one of the departments. The emergency room is the most common area for security guards to work. You may have to check bags that people bring in to make sure they do not have weapons. If someone enters the hospital and they are drinking, then you might have to stay with them until the police can get there to take them to jail.
